The Phenom 300E in 60 seconds

What is the Phenom 300E?

The Embraer Phenom 300E is a light business jet with two rear-mounted engines, certified to be flown by a single pilot. It flies 2,010 nm nonstop with 5 occupants, at up to Mach 0.80 and 45,000 ft, in a cabin 5.24 m (17 ft 2 in) long, 1.55 m (5 ft 1 in) wide and 1.50 m (4 ft 11 in) high, usually laid out for six passengers. The Phenom 300 series has been the world's best-selling light jet for 14 years in a row, and more than 900 are in service. It is still in production, so you can buy one new from Embraer or pre-owned, often privately, through brokers such as ICCJET.

For sale and charter. ICCJET finds Phenom 300E jets for sale, new and pre-owned, listed and off market, for buyers in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and worldwide. We also arrange Phenom 300E charter through licensed operators: one way, round trip or multi-leg, up to six passengers in the standard layout. Typical nonstop legs: New York to Aspen or Miami, Los Angeles to Cabo, London to Mykonos, Sydney to Auckland. Against its rivals it is faster than the Citation CJ4 Gen2 (451 kt) and the Pilatus PC-24 (440 kt); see all five.

IThe light jet that keeps winning

Fourteen years at the top.

Embraer drew the Phenom 300 as a larger sister of the Phenom 100. The prototype flew on 29 April 2008, Brazil's ANAC certified it on 3 December 2009 and the first one was delivered on 29 December that year. In 2018 came the Phenom 300E, the E for Enhanced, with a redesigned cabin; in 2020 it gained PW535E1 engines, a top speed of Mach 0.80 and 2,010 nm of range.

Owners keep choosing it because it gives up so little: a big cabin and baggage hold for a light jet, a short field and a pilot's seat that one person can fly from. In 2025 Embraer delivered 72, its most this decade. For a buyer that means a large, well-supported fleet, plenty of choice and values set by year, engines, hours and inspection status. The best aircraft often change hands privately, before a listing appears. ICCJET sources the Phenom 300E for private owners, companies and charter operators, new or pre-owned.

Six club seats. Three ways to lay them out.

Pick a layout from Embraer's brochure. Baseline seats six in a club of four and an aft pair. The 7th-seat layout adds a seat forward and a belted lavatory; the divan layout adds a two-place divan instead. Press Night for shades down and seats reclined.

Layouts and occupant counts from Embraer's 2025 Phenom 300E brochure; occupant counts include the crew. ICCJET confirms the actual layout, seat count and certification of each aircraft.

Heights without shoes; add about 3 cm for them. The section follows Embraer's drawing: a dropped aisle, seats on side ledges, cushions about 0.49 m above the aisle floor; seated head height is estimated from typical body proportions. Cabin heights of the other jets are their manufacturers' figures. Embraer says the Phenom 300E has the most head- and legroom in its class.

Factory range: 2,010 nm with 5 occupants of 200 lb, long-range cruise and NBAA IFR reserves with a 100 nm alternate (Embraer). The map plans on 85% of that, 1,709 nm. VTurbulence and comfort

Bumps happen. Here is how we smooth them out.

A bit of turbulence is normal, like a car on a gravel road. The Phenom 300E and its crew carry a whole toolkit for it. Switch the tools on and watch a glass of water on the cabin table calm down.

20 mi

Wide of every storm

The guidance for pilots is to keep at least 20 miles from a severe thunderstorm. The radar shows where they are, so the route bends round them.

45,000

Room to climb

The Phenom 300E is certified to 45,000 ft, so the crew can often climb to a smoother level when the air is rough.

The big picture · airline flights

16,000 years

In 2025, airlines flew 38.7 million flights with 51 accidents, 8 of them fatal. Even in that difficult year, you would have to fly every day for about 16,000 years, on average, before being on a flight with a fatal accident.

Airline statistics from IATA, not business jets. Fatality risk 0.17 per million flights; the years are our arithmetic from that rate.

3hull losses in official reports since 2009, from a fleet of more than 900 that has flown over 2.9 million hours.
0aircraft defects found as the cause of the two fatal accidents, in 2015 and 2023: investigators pointed to pilot workload and to ice left on the wing.

    XIIIQuestions

    Phenom 300E: questions.

How much does a Phenom 300E cost?

Price on request. It depends on year and version (300, 300E or a 300E with PW535E1 engines), hours and cycles, engine programme, inspection status, avionics and cabin, and operating costs move with fuel prices. ICCJET gives a current indication for each aircraft, new or pre-owned.

Is the Phenom 300E still in production?

Yes. Deliveries began in December 2009 with the Phenom 300 and continue with the Phenom 300E; Embraer delivered 72 in 2025. You can order one new or buy pre-owned.

Can you stand up in a Phenom 300E?

Not fully. The cabin is 1.50 m (4 ft 11 in) high and 1.55 m (5 ft 1 in) wide, so most adults bow their head to walk the aisle and sit comfortably. It is 5.24 m (17 ft 2 in) long; Embraer says it has the most head- and legroom in its class.

How many passengers does it carry?

Six in the standard layout. Embraer's layouts take 8, 10 or 11 occupants including the crew; the type certificate allows up to 10 passengers with one pilot and 9 with two.

Can one pilot fly the Phenom 300E?

Yes. It is certified for single-pilot operation. For charter, crewing follows the operator's approvals.

How far can a Phenom 300E fly nonstop?

2,010 nm (3,723 km) with 5 occupants, long-range cruise and NBAA IFR reserves with a 100 nm alternate, according to Embraer. New York Teterboro to Aspen (1,502 nm), Los Angeles Van Nuys to Cabo San Lucas (808 nm), London Luton to Mykonos (1,387 nm) and Sydney to Auckland (1,166 nm) are nonstop legs; New York to Los Angeles (2,129 nm) needs a fuel stop.

What is the difference between the Phenom 300 and the 300E?

The Phenom 300 entered service in December 2009. The Phenom 300E, first delivered in March 2018, brought a redesigned cabin. From June 2020 it gained PW535E1 engines of 3,478 lbf, Mach 0.80 and 2,010 nm of range.

    Is the Phenom 300E safe?

The fleet has flown more than 2.9 million hours since 2009. Official reports record three hull losses; in the two fatal accidents, in 2015 and 2023, investigators did not find an aircraft defect as the cause.

    Can I charter a Phenom 300E?

Yes. ICCJET arranges Phenom 300E charter through licensed operators: one way, round trip or multi-leg, with up to six passengers in the standard layout.

Phenom 300E or Citation CJ4 Gen2: which is better?

It depends on the trip. Textron quotes the CJ4 Gen2 at 2,165 nm, but as a ferry flight with no passengers; Embraer quotes the Phenom 300E at 2,010 nm with 5 occupants. The Phenom cruises faster, 464 kt against 451 kt, and its cabin is 5 cm taller and 8 cm wider; the CJ4 cabin is 4 cm longer. ICCJET sources both.

    Phenom 300E or Pilatus PC-24?

The PC-24 has the bigger cabin (1.55 m high, 1.69 m wide, 7.01 m to the aft pressure bulkhead) and the shorter takeoff, 3,090 ft balanced field length against 3,209 ft. The Phenom 300E is 24 kt faster at 464 kt, with similar range: 2,010 nm with 5 occupants against 2,000 nm with 6 passengers.
